Growing Eguipment and Lighting

There are a lot of resources to look at for growing equipment. There are many categories of equipment depending on if you are growing inside or growing outside.

Hydroponics require a much more complicated system but best results if your system can be set up automated and to work properly. If using this type of system, you will need pumps, timers, PH tester, lighting and some type of containment system both for the plants to grow in and for your food. (water with nutrients) That is pumped up to the roots and drained back into the holding containment.

On an inside soil based operation, you still need all of those things except pumps and you can hand mix your food and feed. You can still use pumps to make things a little easier but then you will also have to ad a timer to the system if you want your pump automated. You will also have to monitor PH! In either system the food that is stored in a container to be pumped or poured to the roots has a PH level. As this mixture sits and or you ad water or nutrients it will change this PH level and if it is too acidic or to alkaloid you will kill those precious plants.

For inside you are going to need pots or something to hold your growing medium. Ether for Hydroponics or the old stand by soil.

If you are growing inside, you are going to need a high quality light source. Marijuana requires a full spectrum light. Other less quality lights can be used but grow time and product quality are always issues.

Timers are used for the lighting and the pumps. Lighting is the key to timing your harvest. Marijuana is like any other plant. When it gets a lot of light, over 8 hours it will grow fast and when you cut that light source down to under 8 hours it will start to flower or bud. So controlling the time the lights are on is critical to crop rotation. The pumps are another ingredient to harvest timing but more importantly to growth. Getting food to the plants is key in growing! If you pump too much too often you will kill your plants. If the roots do not have a chance to dry out they will begin to rott. Your plants will die!

Marijuana prefers a certain PH level in the mixture to grow best. I will double check this before posting the wrong info.

Growing marijuana outside is a whole different story! There are so many variables and you also have to contend with added issues, police helicopters, deer, weather and water! Even hunters that may stumble across your plants and go home very happy! There are a lot of things that can effect the quality of the harvest as well as getting a harvest at all! Although outside growing is probably the least expensive way to go. Minimal equipment is needed and you probably have it all already in your garage. .
